Musings of Hyderabad
We all love to come back to ‘that’ place which we long for, stayed there for many eons, and enjoyed life all due to ‘that’ place wherein it created the ultimate magic in your zestful life.
Well, I had this opportunity to come back to work in ‘that’ place after 16 years. However, I had the opportunity to come on official and personal work during the intermittent years.
Here are some of my musings on ‘that’ place called Hyderabad – looking at it what was the feeling in those days and now – enjoy the reading and you are welcome to contribute and debate:
During the initial stay – Hyderabad was:
H – the City of Pearls welcoming with its great HOSPITALITY in abundance;
Y – the City where you can YODDLE around without any snarls;
D – the City used to DELIGHT all with its homogeneity and peace;
E – the City was ENTHRALLING;
R – the people of the City were RUSTIC and fun loving;
A – the City ADMIRED by all for its Nawabi Style of Life;
B – the City was personified for its BEAUTY;
A – the City was ALTRUISTIC for a cause and purpose;
D – the City was DANDY with time in your hand;
I used to take great pride of this city even after leaving for many other reasons and used to have tough arguments with my colleagues and friends whoever ridiculed this city, but alas things have changed over the years and below are my current musings or rather my anti-views as one may call it:
H – the City is now known as HITECH with HOSPITALITY loosing out to Arrogance;
Y – the City has become YUK with stench emanating everywhere, snarls, corruption;
D – the City is now DREADED for traffic jams, dirt & filth;
E – the City has become the EDUCATION hub where the students get Minced & Crushed like Meat to get that elusive seat in Engineering Colleges across the Globe;
R – the City is now RAMPANT with Corruption;
A – the City has become APATHETIC;
B – the people of the City BEMOAN & get BEWILDERED for the lack of infrastructure;
A – the City has become ARROGANT with the influx of people from Coastal Andhra and the locals have lost out to them due to the Money Power;
D – the City has become DEPLORABLE to have any meaningful living standards of Life;
So this the Sad state of ‘that’ place when compared to where I have settled with my family and parents ‘this’ place called CHENNAI – Charming with Humility and Espousing Noble Nuances, Altruistic and with Intelligence pervading.
